*PREAMBLE* 

Welcome to *Week 4* 

This week promises to be another great week. We are all expected to put in our best; come to school early, teach with the requisite teaching and learning materials, give exercise, mark and score, and finally give the children hope. 

 

*ACTIVITIES FOR THE WEEK* 

*_Presentation of Lesson Notes for Vetting._* 

Try hard and send your Lesson Notes to your Headteacher for Vetting. 

*_Teaching with Resources_* 

Always go to class with  teaching resources. Don't teach anything abstract including *God*. 

There are several materials in your environment use them to teach the children. 

 

*_Take learners outside the Classroom_* 

Take learners outside the classroom to explore the natural environment this week. 

*_Take pictures and videos of your lessons_* 

Don't forget to take pictures/videos of your lessons.  

You may keep these pictures and use them later as Class Picture Gallery or Class Photo Album. 

 

*_PROFESSIONAL  LEARNING COMMUNITIES_* 

Remember to participate in this week's Professional Learning Community (PLC). 

Always write down the Date, Topic, Objectives, and the Facilitator of every PLC.  

 

*LETTER SOUND FOR THE WEEK* 

Materials:  

1. Letter Cards 

2. Alphabet Frieze 

 

The Letter Sound for the Week is */t/* 

BUT BEFORE YOU TEACH THIS WEEK’S SOUND, KINDLY REVISE LAST WEEK/PREVIOUS SOUNDS!* 

 

Previously, we learnt /S/ and /a/.  Words associated with these sounds 

/s/

We also looked at the Sound */a/*  

Examples of Words Associated with the sounds */a/*

We also did some BLENDING of sounds. We blended /s/ and /a/ sounds. 

Example: sa, as, Sasa, Asa 

 

SOUNDS FORMATION 

We also learnt how to write the Previous Sounds. /s/ and /a/. 

 

TODAY’S SOUND:  

The Sound for today is */t/* 

 

Example:  

Sir TT came to school very tired. He decided to take some rest so he went to Sir Timothy's room. 

Little did he no that there were termites on the 🛏️ bed.  

So what do you think Sir TT and Sir Timothy will do? 

Learners recite the New Alphabet Song: 

 

ABCD, EFG, HIJK, LMNOP, Q,R,S, TUV, WX, Y & Z. Now I know my ABC, Next Time ..

ENCOURAGE LEARNERS TO IDENTIFY THE SOUND ON THE ALPHABET FRIEZE.

Explain how the letter *t* is written. The children write over the dotted letters in their books/worksheet. 

 

*BLENDING* 

You may begin blending at this point. So blend the sounds */s/*, */a/* and */t/*.
