let us honour our heroes

Great genius from Ghana have make names across the globe. You travel outside the country and these names are mentioned with respect due to what they have achieved in various field. We however do not even see such men and women. We only eulogies them during their

death. It is only during their death that we hear all their good works and even name them after monuments. It is in this regard that I salute Mrs. Amissah Arthur who in a tribute to her late husband took the bull by the horn by asking society that "If my husband is as good as you are describing him why did you wait till his death?"

We as a society must begin to honour our heroes whiles they are alive. We should begin to eschew this hypocrisy and honour our heroes.

I was very sad to hear that the late Professor John Evans Attah Mills of blessed memory was a consultant in the drawing of an economic policy for the United State of America.

Do you know that the legendary and late J.H. Mensah was part of several economic transformation across the globe. Our own Anas Arimeyaw Anas is part of the Aljazera team. Do you also know that most schools in the United State of America are studying and practicising Azonto Dance, a dance by Ghana's Fastest Rapper Sarkodie.

Please it is time we start honouring our leaders. Honour even your chiefs, outstanding students, our religious leaders and our musicians who are making us provide.

Please permit me to salute the likes of Nana Agradaa, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo, Ibrahim Mahama, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Rev Obofour, Bishop Angel Obinim, Ex. President John Dramani Mahama, Bishop Mensa Otabil, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom,
Vice President Mahamdu Bamuwia, Bola Ray, Kweku Sintim Misa, Uncle Ebo White, etc.
Let us honour them before they pass away and pour wonderful tribute on them.
